My Easter Weekend in Pictures

I hope you are all having a lovely Easter weekend.  I have had a fairly quiet one involving chocolate, baking and petting cute lambs!  Oh, and trying to avoid the mouse that appeared in our kitchen on Friday night - I think my scream woke up all the neighbours!

My Hotel Chocolat Easter Egg from Hubby - it tasted amazing.  I love Hotel Chocolat chocolate and they make the best Easter eggs.  It is very rich though so there is no scoffing it all in one session!

Hubby and I visited a farm cafe nearby as we always do around Easter to see the lambs.  They were very cute and nibbled my finger slightly!  There are also tons of hens wandering about as you can pick your own free range eggs there too.

I had a bit of a baking session and made some cheese scones.  They may not look too pretty (I tried using a heart cookie cutter to shape them!) but they tasted delicious.

A trip to our local weekly market to pick up some delicious lunch.  There are more stalls here every week and you can always be guarenteed to spy lots of tasty food and drink.  I picked up some fabulous home-made lemonade which was delightfully refreshing.

Have you been up to much this weekend?

    1. It is gorgeous isn't it. I've been very tempted to pop into town to pick up reduced eggs but I'm not sure my waistline would be so happy!

  3. I love Hotel Chocolat, the rum soaked sultanas in white chocolate with a hint of cinnamon are just delish (they are selling them off half price at the moment due to them being a Christmas special). Oh I feel for you! We've had mice for the first time a few weeks ago and they make me scream too! We got a plug which is electromagnetic and ultrasonic from homebase which works throughout the house (we've got it in the kitchen where we first spotted them)and not seen them since! x

    1. mmmm haven't tried the white choc sultantas but I adore white choc!

Haven't seen the mouse (hoping there is only one!) since Friday night and it hasn't taken the home made lemon drizzle cake I left in the humane trap yet so we suspect that it has probably gone through to another flat. I'm still not happy opening the cupboard it appeared form though! May give the electomagnetic plug a try if it makes another appearance!

    1. Thanks, since last week it has been all quiet on the mouse front, so hopefully it was just passing through!
